Kojo Kurankye aka Ras Kuuku a Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall musician has threatened Achimota School’s management with curses for denying admission to two students with dreadlocks.
Before being permitted to study at the school, the Rastafarian Musician students were ordered to go and cut their hair, an order that has since sparked a national debate.
While the PTA and the Old Students of the Achimota School support their headmistress for issuing the directive, the Ghana Education Service (GES), which initially supported the students, has withdrawn their support.
In an interview monitored by unitedshowbiz.com.gh on Angel Midday News, Ras Kuku made it clear that he was shocked by the decision of the Authorities for refusing to admit students with dreads.
As a matter of fact, he proposed that it would be reasonable for the management of Achimota School to admit students with dreadlocks into the school.
To him, this is the ‘highest form of discrimination in Ghana now’ which will attract God’s wrath on the Achimota School.
“This is the highest form of discrimination in recent times and I am shocked it is happening. God’s wrath will visit Achimota School if they fail to allow the students into the school…,” – Ras Kuku said
