Archbishop Porter Girls’ Senior High School has rejoiced over another presence at the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).

Porters, with 35 points, overshadowed its rivals St Augustine SHS, Annor Adjaye and Half Assini at the end of the contest.

St Augustine, Annor Adjaye, and Half Assini SHS securing 26, 25 and 17 points respectively blundered their way into defeat.

Despite their victory, contestants from Archbishop Porter Girls’ Senior High School say although they have qualified for the National Science and Maths Quiz Championship, they are not satisfied with their 38 points.

The contestants pledged to work harder and elevate their points in the upcoming national competition .

“We really expected more than this today but throughout the contest, we have realized that it is not just about saying it, it much more about working harder to get the points and we have realized our mistakes so even though we have won, this is not the highest peak, we still doing our best to get more points at the national stage so expect the very best from us.”

According to one of the contestants, they are poised in breaking the jinx and become the first female school to win the NSMQ.
