‘Ashanti Warlords’ Prempeh College snatches NSMQ 2021 Grande Finale slot from Opoku Ware School and KNUST SHS

The highly anticipated semi-final contest of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) came off with Prempeh College emerging winners.

The four-time NSMQ Champions – Prempeh College (1994, 1996, 2015, and 2017) – gave a spectacular performance against Opoku Ware School (NSMQ 1997 and 2002 Champions and KNUST SHS

In Round One, Prempeh College led the group with 33 points. Opoku Ware School showed a lot of potential by ending the round in second place with 26 points, while KNUST SHS came in third with 17 points.

Prempeh College led in all rounds of their contest with Opoku Ware School and KNUST SHS though they scored the lowest in the ‘Problem of the Day’.

At the end of the contest, Prempeh College won with 67points, followed by Opoku Ware School with59 points and KNUST SHS placed third with 38 points

The victory sent Prempeh College supporters roaring beyond control in the Saarah-Mensah Auditorium at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Prempeh College will compete with Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC- Legon) and Keta SHTS come Friday, November 26, for the final showdown.
