Charterhouse, the organizers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2021) have announced the nominees for the Hip-Hop Song of the Year 2021.
The announcement was made on Saturday 3rd April 2021 from 11 am to 4 pm (First Batch) and at 8 pm (Nominees Announcement Show) and it’s ongoing.
Hip hop music, also known as rap music, is a genre of popular music developed in the United States by inner-city African Americans and Latino Americans in the Bronx borough of New York City in the 1970s.
The nominees for the Hip-Hop of the Year 2021 are as follows;

Ataa Adwoa – Bosom PYung
Otan Hunu – Dead Peepol ft Rich Kent. Akobam – Joey B ft Medikal & Kofi Mole
Ekorso – Kofi Jamar ft. Yaw Tog & Ypee
Money – Kweku Flick Live from 233 – Kwesi Arthur
La Hustle Remix – Medikal ft Joey B & Criss Waddle
Sore – Yaw Tog ft O’kenneth, City Boy, Reggie, Jay Bahd

Earlier, Charterhouse opened entries for participation in the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
In a press release, the organizers stated that artists, artist management, record labels, producers, instrumentalists, music composers, and other stakeholders have until February 15 to submit their entries.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was established in 2000 by Mascot to celebrate Ghanaian musicians.
The awards are presented annually and are broadcast live on GH One. The awards ceremony features performances by artists.
