Check: VGMA 2021 Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year Nominees

Charterhouse, the organizers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (2021) have announced the nominees for the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year 2021.

The announcement was made on Saturday 3rd April 2021 from 11 am to 4 pm (First Batch) and at 8 pm (Nominees Announcement Show) and it’s ongoing.

Dancehall is a genre of Jamaican popular music that originated in the late 1970s. Initially, dancehall was a more sparse version of reggae than the roots style, which had dominated much of the 1970s

Earlier, Charterhouse opened entries for participation in the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

In a press release, the organizers stated that artists, artiste management, record labels, producers, instrumentalists, music composers, and other stakeholders have until February 15 to submit their entries.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was established in 2000 by Mascot to celebrate Ghanaian musicians.

The awards are presented annually and are broadcast live on GH One. The awards ceremony features performances by artists.
