A Nigerian student, Chinedu Nwaduru has won a fully-funded scholarship to study master’s degree in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford has shared his inspiring story on social media.
Taking to the Linkedin page to share his bliss, Chinedu Nwaduru disclosed that he actually received the Clarendon scholarship award fully funded.
According to him, he doubted he could qualify to study at Oxford University when he applied in January 2021.
He said that he kept on questioning his qualifications, but to his surprise, the doubt had been cleared with a breakthrough.
He wrote, “Applying for this program in January 2021 felt absurd because I kept questioning every fibre in me, wondering if I had what it took to be admitted into Oxford or even the financial resources to sustain my education.”
He revealed that he received the Clarendon scholarship award on the 11th of May 2021.
Chinedu Nwaduru explained that the scholarship was meant for individuals who had academic excellence and a strong passion for the desired programme they pursued in school.
He further appreciated some individuals who helped him in diverse ways to be able to bag the scholarship.
He made mention of names like John Fung, James Balogun, and Taiwo Lawal, and appreciated them for standing behind him with their powerful and constant words of support throughout his success story.
