The African Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the African continent had reached 3,905,936 as of Tuesday midday.

As of Tuesday noon, the death toll from the pandemic stood at 104,012 according to the Africa COVID-19 dashboard operated by the continental disease control and prevention agency.

According to the CDC, a total of 3,484,646 individuals afflicted with COVID-19 have healed across the continent.

According to the Africa CDC, the Southern Africa region has the largest number of reported positive COVID-19 cases on the continent, followed by the Northern Africa region.
