Born on October 22, 1988, in Washington D.C in the United States, Corey Hawkins is an American actor famous for his role in the movie, ‘The Walking Dead’.                     

Corey Hawkins was brought up in Washington D.C where he was born to a police officer’s mother.

He attended Duke Ellington School of Arts and Juilliard School in New York where he was a member of the drama group of the school.

While in Juilliard School, Corey Hawkins was recognized and awarded the John Houseman Award for Excellence in classical theatre.

After Corey Hawkins graduated from Juilliard School, he started his career in acting almost immediately when he starred in the film, ‘Off-Broadway’.

He went ahead to take up a short role in ‘Iron Man 3’. Corey Hawkins since then appeared in films like ‘Non-Stop’, ‘Straight Outta Compton’ which made about $201 million and many other hit films.

In 2015, Corey Hawkins starred in the hit film, ‘The Walking Dead’ which propelled him to international fame. Corey Hawkins played the role of ‘Heath’ in ‘The Walking Dead’ and he delivered to perfection.

Again in 2017, Corey Hawkins acted alongside Hollywood stars like Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston and Liam Neeson.

Corey Hawkins has been nominated for several awards including NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor, Washington D.C Area Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor, Black Reel Award for Best Supporting Actor and many others.

In 2015, Corey Hawkins won the Hollywood Breakout Ensemble Award for his performance in ‘Straight Outta Compton’.

The 33 years old actor is estimated to be worth $5 million.

Corey Hawkins is also not known to be married nor has he made mention of a partner over the years which suggests the gentleman is single and has no kids yet as well.
