Davido’s Lawyer Bodo F. Ajudua debunks claims that the song ‘Jowo’ was stolen from Victor AD

Bodo F. Ajudua, Davido’s lawyer, has dismissed allegations that Davido stole the song Jowo from Victor AD and has revealed the song’s true writers and creators.

Victor AD, a Twitter user known as Thuglife, confirmed Davido stole the song after hearing it after they recorded “Tire you.”

He said the singer was taken aback when he saw the song on ABT without his or his management’s permission.

In a response to the allegations raised against Davido, his lawyer disclosed that Jowo was written by Davido and Oladeinde Okubajo in a Twitter post.

Jerry Jethro, Peter A Kehinde Emmanuel, and Majicboi have contributed to the song’s production.

In a tweet by Lawyer Bobo F. Ajudua, he wrote;

As far as I know, Jowo was performed by Davido, written by David Adeleke & Oladeinde Okubajo aka @Davido & @Deindeofficial and prod by Jerry Jethro & Peter A. Kehinde Emmanuel aka Napji & Majicboi.

That’s as far as I know. Don’t shoot me I’m just the guy that did the paperwork :)”

The song ‘Jowo’ was released in 2020 and the track is taken from his ‘A Better Time’ album.

Directed by Dammy Twitch, the visual for “Jowo” was shot in Lagos, Nigeria, and details a meet up gone wrong between two gang leaders played by Davido and Nigerian ‘Big Brother’ TV celebrity Rebecca Nengi Hampson while Davido sings:

My baby jo, jowo, jowo. Amina, zomana. Answer me jo, chasin’ me now. It be like you be my destiny, nah. This kind of love e no dey similar, Amina, mutu mina. Mo la e go, gbo temi na.

The latest A Better Time project contains 17 songs, including early fan favorites like “FEM” and “Holy Ground,” as well as guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Nas, Chris Brown, Young Thug, and others.

Before the album’s release, Davido released the music video for “So Crazy,” which features Lil Baby, one of 2020’s busiest rappers.
