- Ghanaian business mogul and CEO of McDan Group of Companies, Dr Daniel McKorley has won big at the just ended EMY Africa Awards 2021.
- Dr Daniel McKorley was adjudged “Man of the Year” at the 6th edition of the distinguished Exclusive Men of the Year Africa (EMY Africa) Awards.
- The sixth edition of the EMY Africa Awards came off last Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Gold Coast Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
The dazzling ceremony saw performances from Fameye, Adina, DWA Academy and legendary Amandzeba.
The award was to honour him for being very impactful in society, an innovator, a visible team player, a certifiable gentleman and a pillar of the community.
A citation in his honour reads;
“Man of the year, Dr Daniel Mckorley, for your instrumental work in the shipping and freight industry you have contributed to society and Ghana’s economy in more ways than one through providing employment opportunities as well as a helping hand to the needy.
You have also shown an interest in building up the next generation of entrepreneurs through your McDan Entrepreneurship Challenge, we say Ayeko. Congratulations”.
Celebrating his win on social media, Dr Daniel McKorley thanked his family for the inspiration and support given him.
In his exact words, Dr Daniel McKorley wrote:
“Winning the “Man of the Year” at this year’s EMY Awards would not have been possible without the inspiration I have received from my family, from whom I have derived the strength to challenge myself to perform better at each stage of my career.
Their love has helped me grow, their strength has held me up, their wisdom has guided me, their prayers have lifted me many times, enabled me to rise up and keep on running, and their sacrifices form the ladder on which I stand tall.
I sincerely thank them for helping me reach a stage where I can proudly hold up this award as a mark of my achievement. I can only promise to get better at my work”
Dr Daniel McKorley turned up for the awards ceremony in a glitz fashion with his wife and children.
