Elikem Joseph Kofi Ziorklu, a Ghanaian student living in the United States of America has earned a new name for himself as he becomes the first Ghanaian to be elected as president of the graduate students’ senate at Ohio University.
Elikem Joseph Kofi Ziorklu will now hold the position of President of the Graduate Students Senate (GSS) at Ohio University.
According to a Facebook post sighted by unitedshowbiz.com.gh on the handle of the former BBC Deputy Editor, Ben Dotsei Malor, Ziorklui is the first Ghanaian to hold such a position since the university’s founding.
The post also indicates that there are more than 5,000 Masters and PhD students that make up the Graduate Students Senate who will benefit from his leadership as President.

Elikem Joseph Kofi Ziorklu is a native of Atiavi in the Volta Region – started as the Treasurer of this Senate a few months ago but quickly got elevated to the position of President.
He’s currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Financial Economics here at Ohio University.
He’s an Alumnus of Ghana’s University of Professional Studies, UPSA, where he had his Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance and an MBA in Accounting and Finance.
Elikem Joseph Kofi Ziorklu happens to be an old student of Keta Business School, KETABUSCO.
