Francis Tetteh: Former NSMQ Contestant of Chemu SHS dies of Cancer while pursuing Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in Toronto

News available to has it that, Francis Tetteh, a former National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) of Chemu Senior High School in Tema has been reported dead on Saturday, April 10, 2021, after battling with cancer for a year-long.

The deceased who is 27 years of age was pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at York University in Canada (Toronto) in 2018 before his demise.

Francis Tetteh represented his school at the 2013 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) and was among one of the brilliant students the school had then.

At the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Francis Tetteh graduated as the best student with first class in Bachelor of Science degree with First Class (Honours) in Materials Science and Engineering.

Ghanaweb reports that Francis was admitted to the MSc Programme in Mechanical Engineering at York University but due to his hard work and determination.

He was transferred to the PhD by virtue of his exploits in academics and research.

His death has shocked lovers of NSMQ on social media especially on Twitter and has left others worried with many sympathisers sending in their condolences to the bereaved family.
