Keta SHTS made history for the first time as the only school in Volta Region to qualify into the final stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
A brilliant young lady who represented Keta SHTS (Ketasco) in the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is the first female to contest in the Finals of the NSMQ in the last 8 years.
Francisca Lamini has become the lady of the moment after joining two boy’s from Ketasco who led the school into the Finals of the NSMQ.
Francisca Lamini received appluase from well known persons in the Ghanaian society and from social media users for her stellar performance in the 2021 NSMQ.
In 2013, Mfantsiman Girls’ SHS – Saltpond led by Grace Ansah and Adwoa Serwaa Adunyah became the second all-girls school to make an appearance at the NSMQ Grand Finale.
This feat was more impressive when put in perspective – the first time an all-girls school made an appearance was 14 years earlier when Wesley Girls High School faced off Mfantsipim School in 1999 final.
Below are few reactions on Francisca Lamini compiled by unitedshowbiz.com.gh from social media:
“When I see women do the extraordinary I get goosebumps all over, congratulations Francisca, girl you have made women proud win or no win, kudos we all love you” – Tima Kumkum
I particularly want to meet Francisca Lamini from KETASCO, the excellent young lady who emerged as the only female in the NMSQ 2021 final – I wish her and all other female prospects the very best in academia and other endeavors. – Hon Kwaku Citizen
