Jupitar’s 20-track album features Shatta Wale, Samini, Sarkodie, Yaa Pono, Medikal, and Tinny, among others.
Through his authentic music and captivating stagecraft, he has made a huge impact on Africa’s dancehall scene since 2011.
He explained why he chose the name Jupitar in one of his interviews, saying; “I got the name in my school days – Jupiter is known to be the largest planet in the solar system; and so i wanted to be big as a musician too”.At a Point he thought of rebrandingIt has affected me in a way where when people search for the name Jupitar, the planet appears as results. Rebranding is a big risk.
I’m aiming to change it to my given name, “Michael.” I have, however, added the title “Di General” to my name. Some still refer to me by that moniker.” He elaborated.
