Jada Pollock, Wizkid’s third baby mama and manager, congratulated him on receiving his first Grammy Award.
Wizkid and his teammate Burna Boy were the first Nigerians to receive a Grammy Award in the event’s history. For the album Brown Skin Kid, he received the award for Best Music Video with American singer Beyonce.
Reacting to Wizkid’s big win last night, Jada P took to her Twitter page and said, “@wizkidayo Thank You for all you do! Your artistry is touching so many! StarBoy 2 da world”.
Brown Skin Girl’s music video was featured in Beyonce’s forthcoming film Black Is King, which will be released in August 2020. The video serves as a celebration and affirmation of dark-skinned women’s appearance.
The music video was largely shot in South London, as Black Is King was planned to include locations from around the African diaspora.
