Names of the best candidates in the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Ghana and the sub-region have been unveiled.
Among the candidates is Kwame Brako Asante who has been adjudged the overall best Ghanaian student in WASSCE 2021.
In addition to this national feat, Kwame was also honoured as the overall second-best student in West Africa, behind Nweze Isabella Chinasa, a student from the Lagoon School in Lekki, Lagos State of Nigeria.
Kwame Brako Asante is an immediate past student of Legon-based Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School.
Kwame Brako Asante was a former team member for his school in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
Although he did not feature on-stage at the National Championship, he represented PRESEC-Legon as the third contestant in their triumphant Greater Accra Regional Championship win in 2021.

The young gentleman was adjudged overall best candidate in the 2021 WASSCE in Ghana and second in West Africa at an event attended by the Vice President of Nigeria Prof Yemi Osinbajo.
Master Kwame Brako as well as the overall winner and the third-best were awarded prizes for their excellent academic performances.
In attendance at the event were dignitaries, Nigeria’s Youth and Sports Minister and officials from the Ghana Education Service, Presec-Legon and other academics.

The feat earned by Kwame Brako Asante has inspired many who took to social media to praise him for excelling in an exam written in the sub-region by over two million candidates.
Many Ghanaians particularly old students of Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School have been jubilant after hearing about the rather exciting update.
