Melissa Satta the ex-wife of Ghanaian-born soccer star Kevin-Prince Boateng has opened up for the first time after the end of her marriage to the latter.
Melissa who is a model tied the knot with Kevin in 2016 after being engaged for five years. The pair however went through a break-up in 2018 after having a son Maddox Prince who was born in 2014. They eventually separated in 2019 and reunited later that year.
Speaking in an interview on Verissimo an Italian entertainment TV talk show, and on her relationship with Kevin, she said “It was the most important story of my life. The end of the marriage, which lasted 9 years was a huge pain for me. It was a wonderful love relationship with difficulties and changes.
I am so happy for everything I have done with him and I will thank him forever. We are calm and we have decided to each take their own path. We both took our blame and responsibility. Our son Maddox will bind us forever.”
On how their son Maddox adapted to their separation, she said “With Maddox, we talked about it. We approached it as a game.
At first, he didn’t take it well, but now he sees everything as a normal thing”. Melissa also stated her desire to have another child by saying “I want to make up for a family and have another child.”
