Missing Elizabeth Fletcher – Kidnapped and Murdered in Memphis, Tennessee

Police in Memphis have arrested a suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Elizabeth Fletcher. Cleotha Abston was arrested over the weekend and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. She was seen on surveillance video near the abduction scene in the early morning hours. DNA was also found on Abston’s sandals near the scene.

The family released a statement on the incident. According to the family, they are hoping the reward will help in catching the kidnappers. However, the search is far from over. A reward of $50,000 is being offered to the person with the most information. In the meantime, the family is awaiting the outcome of the investigation.

Eliza Fletcher was last seen around 4:30 a.m. near the University of Memphis. When she did not return, her father called 911. The Memphis Police Department responded and found her body near the kidnapping location. However, the cause of death is still unclear. Eliza Fletcher was last seen wearing pink athletic pants, a matching headband, and a pair of purple running shorts.

The missing teenager was wearing a purple running short and a pink jogging top. The police have not identified the man who stole Eliza Fletcher or the cause of death.
