Andrews Commey Otoo popularly known by his stage name Mr. Drew has referred to his fellow singer Kuame Eugene as a thief who has a scholarship in stealing songs in an interview monitored by unitedshowbiz.com.gh on Okay FM.

He revealed this in an interview on Okay FM where he was asked by Abeiku Santana why is he known for compositions of songs by other artistes in songs that he releases.

In 2020, the official video for his song, Eat, featuring Stonebwoy was deleted off Youtube after a report that he illegally sampled ‘Love Riddim’ by Nigerian-American artiste, Rotimi.

Responding to the song theft claims, Mr. Drew stated that he isn’t the only artist in Ghana to have ever used or stolen another artiste’s song and that Kuame Eugene’s name should be mentioned as one of the artists who take other artists work.

Defending himself, Mr. Drew went further to accuse Kuame Eugene as being a music thief who started that long ago before he did.

In his words, Mr Drew said, “Kuami Eugene started stealing songs before me. He has a scholarship in it”
