Nengi: BBNaija Star crowned ‘Celebrity Of the Year’ at 2021 La Mode Magazine Green October Event

Popular Nigerian TV Personality and entrepreneur, Rebecca Nengi Hampson known popularly as Nengi has been crowned ‘Celebrity Of The Year’ at the 7th Edition Of La Mode Magazine Green October Event.

The Nigeria-Indian born model, Nengi was nominated in the “Celebrity of the Year” award category together with actresses, Regina Daniels and Nancy Isime.

Nengi won the category award after amassing more votes than his competitors from his fans, followers and loved ones.

Nengi, took to her Instagram page to share her gratitude for winning the award and thanked the organisers for the recognition and her fans for voting.

The 2021 edition of the La Mode Magazine Green October Event was held on Thursday, October 1, 2021, a day that coincides with Nigeria’s independence day celebration.

Notable attendees at the event were BBNaija stars Uriel Oputa, Jackie Bent, Teddy A, Maria Chike, Saskay, Kim Oprah, Prince Nelson, Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai, and fashion designer Swanky Jerry, to name a few.

This year’s edition of the the La Mode Magazine Green October Event by reality TV stars Ozo and Cynthia Nwadiora (Cee-C), was in full swing at the Oriental Hotel Lagos.

Green October Event is an annual fashion show and award event created by La Mode Magazine and La Mode Disability Foundation to appreciate and support people living with disabilities.

The event awards individuals who have contributed significantly to humanity and deserving entrepreneurs in fashion, beauty and lifestyle.

Earlier, Nengi was named winner of the “Most Famous Celebrity” award at African Youth Awards 2021.

The Bayelsa born ex-beauty queen beat her fellow ex-BBNaija co-contestant and actress, Erica Nlewedim to clinch the award.

Other nominees included; South Africa’s Boity, Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo, Wema Sepetu, Natasha Donna and Lydiam Jazmine.
