With schools competing for qualification slots across the country, here’s a rundown of the contest that took place on Day One (3rd May 2021) in the Upper West Region.

To ensure that only the best represent the Upper West Region at the National Championship, there would be a champion of champions, where winners from this first stage of the competition would compete again in two contests.

The two winners, together with the three highest runners-up, would represent the Region at the National Championship.

In the second contest, Jirapa SHS took an early lead and maintained it to the very end, to emerge winners.

Their contenders, Wa Islamic SHS and Ullo SHS could barely match up to their capability.

Well done Jirapa, and the very best in the final stage of the Upper West Qualifiers.

The four winners, together with the three winners from Day 2’s contest, would participate in two contests on May 4, 2021, to select five schools to represent the Region at the National Championship.

The five schools would comprise the two winners of the individual contests and three highest runners-up.

This structure of qualifiers is to ensure that only the best represent the Upper West Region at the National Championship.
