Popcaan To Appear In Court After Traffic Violation Charges as he says “He is Targeted By Cops”

Popcaan claims he is being pursued by police after being charged with several traffic violations.

Popcaan, whose real name is André Sutherland, was reportedly riding a motorcycle with his entourage in a nine-vehicle convoy when he was intercepted by St Thomas Police in a neighborhood, according to the police report.

In an encounter with police on April 25, the Unruly Boss would have to respond to several violations of the Road Traffic Act.

Following Popcaan’s arrest, law enforcement officials announced that the envoy of vehicles was inspected and found to be in violation of many aspects of the Road Traffic Act.

Driving an unlicensed vehicle, driving without insurance, driving without a valid certificate of fitness, driving without a registration number plate, driving without a helmet, and driving without a side-view mirror were among the charges.

On June 3, 2021, the “Risky” deejay will have to appear in Yallahs Traffic Court. He will also face allegations of failing to produce a valid driver’s licence.

Another member of the group was detained and charged with possessing an offensive weapon. Andre Harrison, 39, of Bachelors Hall, has been named as the suspect.

Harrison was subsequently granted $20,000 in station bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 3rd in St. Thomas Parish Court.

Popcaan reacted to the charges on Twitter, claiming that he was singled out by St.Thomas Police.
