For the first time, the Reverend Owusu Bempah has spoken over his arrest and hospitalisation after he was released from police custody.
The head pastor of Glorious Word Power Ministries claimed former President John Mahama and the sitting president Nana Akuffo Addo sent him a delegation while he was in admission at the hospital.
According to reports, Owusu Bempah made this revelation during a church service while addressing his congregants.
He added that Nana Akuffo Addo and John Mahama had wanted to come visit him at the police hospital while he was on admission.
After the revelation, the popular pastor used the opportunity to appreciate individuals and some NPP and NDC big wigs who showed their concern and checked up on him during his arrest.
He mentioned names like the National Communications Director of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, the General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu, and others.
Meanwhile, a photo has surfaced online exhibiting Rev. Owusu Bempah on a hospital bed at the police hospital after a court hearing.
In a photo that also popped up online, the man of God was put in handcuffs when he was sent to the hospital.
What did he do?
Reverend Owusu Bempah was arrested by the Greater Accra Regional Command police personnel on Sunday, September 12th, 2021, on the basis of an assault by the police.
A statement released by the police also indicated that Owusu Bempah’s men were to be arrested in connection with videos of them issuing threats.
According to them, they believe the man of God ordered his men and church members to assault the police, hence their arrest.
