Rocky Dawuni has earned a nomination for the 2022 Grammy Awards which happens to be the 64th Edition.

Rocky Dawuni has was nominated by the Recording Academy of the Grammy Awards during an announcement on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Rocky Dawuni received a nomination in the Best Global Album category for his album titled ‘Voice of BunBon, Vol 1

This is the second time, Rocky Dawuni has received a nomination in the Grammys.

His Grammy Awards nominations are:

• 2016 — “Branches Of The Same Tree” — Best Reggae Album at the 58th Edition

• 2022 — “Voice Of Bunbon” (Volume 1) — “Best Global Album” for the 64th Edition

Rocky Dawuni, a Ghanaian reggae singer and songwriter age 52 will be competing with Daniel Ho & Friends, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti, and Wizkid in that category.

Sharing his joy online with Ghana and the World, Rocky Dawuni shared a photo with a caption in which he thanked all those who worked on the album.

“Yea my people we did it again. Another #GRAMMY nomination for “Voice Of Bunbon,Vol.1” . The EP has been nominated for “Best Global Music Album” at the 64th Grammy Awards @recordingacademy .

Big thanks to all those who worked and supported this important work to achieve this recognition. Keep streaming and sharing the album and let’s go Ghana!”

In another post, he wrote, ”The new EP “Voice Of Bunbon , Vol. 1 “ nominated for “Best Global Music Album “ at the 64th GRAMMY Awards . Love and light to you all ”

Meanwhile, Nigerian music superstar, Wizkid has bagged two nominations at the 64th Grammy Awards announced Tuesday by the Recording Academy.

Wizkid was nominated alongside fellow Nigerians –Femi Kuti, Burna Boy and Tems for Best Global Music Performance at The Grammys. Also nominated in that same category was Beninese legend, Angelique Kidjo.

The Nigerian Afrobeat Star also has his ‘Made In Lagos’ album nominated for Best Global Music Album at The Grammys, alongside Femi Kuti and Made Kuti’s Legacy +, Angelique Kidjo’s Mother Nature and Rocky Dawumi’s Voice of Bunbon Vol. 1.
