Shatta Wale Becomes First Ghanaian Artiste to Re-Enter USA Reggae iTunes Chart

Shatta Wale has become the first-ever Ghanaian musician to re-enter the USA iTunes chart with the song “Dream”.

The song featured on Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica: The Collectors Edition by Sean Edwards known as Contractor 24 released in 2020

The compilation is a 25 tracks album was headlined by Shatta Wale and also had some reggae/dancehall stars like Capleton, Beenie Man, Tommy Lee Sparta, Sizzler, Wayne Wonder and Don Yute.

Shatta Wale has definitely achieved great success with his music and this win is an indication that there’s more to come from the ‘King of African Dancehall’.

He also made history to became the first African artist to be the face of a reggae and dancehall album when the project was released and according to Contractor 24, this is a history making album.

The Reggae Collector’s Edition was the third in the Tropical House series. Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica was released in 2018, 12 tracks Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica Reloaded also followed in 2019 and even charted for five weeks on the Billboard Reggae Album Charts.

Shatta Wale is preparing for the release of his “Gift of God” album which according to him features a song with American singer Beyonce.
