Speeding Car Kills First-Year Female Student of UCC

A first-year University of Cape Coast student was killed after being struck by a speeding car.

The incident occurred near the UCC satellite campus of the Nduom School of Business and Technology in Ayensuduo.

According to a statement signed by the University’s Public Affairs Director, the student, Priscilla Owusu Achia, 19, was on her way to buy food with some friends when the Sprinter Bus, which was overtaking another bus, knocked her down.

Priscilla Achia died two days later as a result of the crash.

Official Statement

According to UCC administration, the student’s family has been notified of the incident, and police have started an inquiry.
