Swedish streaming and media services provider has named Award-winning musician, Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ as the most-streamed Nigerian music album in the year 2020.
The report by Spotify indicates that the ‘Twice As Tall’ album has garnered over 100 million streams on the streaning platform since it release.
‘Twice As Tall’ has therefore maintained its position as the most-streamed 2020 Nigerian project on Spotify.
Twice as Tall is the fifth studio album by Nigerian singer Burna Boy. It was released on August 14, 2020, by Spaceship Entertainment, Atlantic Records and Warner Music.
The album’s record executive producers are American singer and songwriter Diddy and Mama Burna Bose Ogulu.
The album consists of Afrobeats, Afrobeat, dancehall, hip hop, and pop. The production was mostly made by Telz and was made, among others, by Rexxie, Timbaland, and DJDS.
The ‘Twice As Tall’ won Burna Boy a Grammy Award for the Best Global Music Album at the Premiere Ceremony of the 63rd GRAMMY Awards. This marks his first career GRAMMY win.
They are the first winner of the recently renamed category, formerly known as Best World Music Album.
