– Early Life
Though Stonebwoy was born in Ashaiman, a suburb of Accra, his family hails from Alapkle-Anloga in the Volta region of Ghana. He is the fourth child of his parents, out of a total of seven.
Judging from the successes he has chalked in his career; we might think he grew with a silver spoon in his mouth. But that is far from the truth, the ‘Bawaasaba’ hitmaker grew up on the street.
His passion for music dates back to when he was in primary. While there he was very active in the drama group and every other entertainment-related activity.

Stonebwoy attended Methodist Day Senior High School, (same SHS as Rapper Sarkodie).
While at SHS, he released his first song, ‘Makuma’. He released the second ‘Empress’ a while later which got the music industry to develop an interest in his talent.
Stonebwoy while in school, got an opportunity for an interview with Doctor Duncan, Host of the ‘kasahari’ entertainment show on Adom FM. This interview would prove pivotal for the young musician’s career.

Stonebwoy is now married to the brilliant Dr Louisa Etse Satekla, a KNUST-trained dentist who swept 6 out nine awards at the University’s graduation ceremony. The couple tied the knot in June of 2017 and welcome their lovely daughter Jidula, on December 30 of the same year. In June 2019, the couple once more welcomed a son. They named him Janam.
Stonebwoy revealed that he met his wife when he went to the KNUST campus to perform. He recounted that just after seeing Louisa, he told his manager that he was going to marry the girl.
– Professional career
After leaving senior high school in 2007, Sonebwoy started work with S24 studios. He later joined the Samini, – one of Ghana’s biggest Dancehall Artiste – and his High-Grade family.
Stonebwoy remained with Samini until 2012 when he left to establish his own Burniton Music Group (BMG).
Today, the result of hard work is certainly paying off for the young chap with collaborations with international acts from Africa, the UK, Jamaica such as Jah Vinci, Trey Songz, Gappy Ranks, Randy Valentine, Sakordie, Wayne Wonder, Laza Morgan, Samini, Obrafour, Black Prophet, R2Bees, Patoranking, General Pype Stylogee, Burna Boy, Morgan Heritage, Chris Martin, I Octane, Kranium, and many others.
