TV3 Mentor 2021: De Sound Lord (DSL) crowned winner with Boyz Pe Cho performance, takes home GHC500k in prizes

De Sound Lord known popularly as DSL has emerged winner of the 2021 edition of TV3 Mentor. DSL won the ultimate at the grand finale held at the National Theatre in Accra on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

DSL takes home GHC500,000 and other incentives from sponsors as a prize package for the winner.

DSL emerged the winner of TV3 Mentor 2021 after his performance outsmarted rappers like Kofidential and Wise B, and singers AJ and Ely.

Known as a Dancehall rapper on stage, DSL has also won brand new car cash, promotional deals, and a record label contract with Richie Mensah’s Lynx Entertainment for his amazing musical performance.

Many people were not surprised by DSL’s victory because she has been a consistent performer throughout the event.

DSL, whose name is an abbreviation for De Sound Lord, had wowed fans with spectacular performances week after week.

Kofidential emerged as the first runner up of TV3 Mentor 2021.

Grand finale performance

For the grand finale, DSL continued what he had always done by delivering two masterful performances. The first had him performing with a mentor.

His happened to be Epixode and it was an effortless delivery. For his second performance for the day, DSL came out to sing his own song titled Boyz Pe Cho and he got the whole auditorium on fire.

The judges on the show, Reggie Rockstone, Richie Mensah, Adina Thembi, and Kwabena Kwabena, were all of the opinions that DSL already had hit song on his hands.
