Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast has been crowned winners of The Sharks Quiz Season 4 organized by Africa Schools Online, an education and scholarship advisory based in Accra, Ghana.
The all-girls school became champions of the 4th edition of The Sharks Quiz after securing a slot in the finals of the quiz where they contested Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (Legon) where a tie was recorded at the end of the 4th round.
With the two schools tied on 75 points apiece in the final round, Wesley Girls’ High School got the tie-breaker right to send the entire Studio B auditorium at TV3 into raptures, becoming winners on their debut.
The gallant ladies from the Central region of the country deployed strategic skills all through in the competition right from the Round of 16 into the Quarterfinals to the Semi-finals to the finals and into the Grande final.
The Grande finals of The Sharks Quiz Season 4 was held at the premises of TV3 Media Network at Kanda Avenue in Accra.
As an award for being champions or winners of The Sharks Quiz Season 4, the Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast has received a golden-plated trophy which represents a golden book of knowledge.

The Sharks Quiz Facts
The Sharks Quiz is an example of what Ghanaian students need to be globally competitive. The head of the Shark Quiz board is Emerita Professor Elizabeth Ardayifio-Schandorf.
The Sharks Quiz, which has a broad appeal for junior and high school students focuses on the four key competencies: Literacy, Numeracy, STEM, and Social Literacy.
The uniqueness about the competition is that it pounds on the use of innovation in the Quiz setup and focuses on how students really understand the practicability of what’s being taught in school and not just rote memorization of facts.
