In December 2005, Claudia Haro was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder. She was subsequently arraigned before court and she pleaded guilty to all charges levelled against her.
She was initially sentenced to a jail term of 12 years and four months but her jail term was reduced and she was released in August 2019.
