Ghanaian teen rapper, Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, popularly known as Yaw Tog has marked his 18th birthday with friends and families in a close-festive event.
To his surprise, families, friends, and stakeholders in the music industry threw a surprise birthday party for him as they dined together in a cheerful festivity.
Yaw Tog, is a Ghanaian rapper who majors in drill music known in Ghana as Asakaa.
He is best known for his viral song ‘Sore’ which featured Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy on the remix.
Yaw Tog was interviewed on Black Entertainment Television (BET) on April 23, 2021 of which he discussed how he got interested in music, his inspirations, and his dream collaborations during his BET interview.
It was one of the benefits of being named the American cable television channel’s Amplified Artist of the Month.
This means that Yaw Tog will get more foreign recognition.
He was presented to the audiences of the media company’s platforms in Africa, the United Kingdom, France, and South Korea, including BET Jams, BET Her, BET Soul, and BET International Channels.
He released his debut EP, Time, in March 2021. In a recent interview with DJ Mag, Tog said, “I’m very much an Asakaa kid, but I wanted people to know I can do any form of music, from drill to hip-hop and Afrobeats.”
